The 70-minute production opens at The Rose on Oct. This thrilling adventure story follows the story of Mowgli, a baby in India who wanders away from his village and into the jungle where he is raised by wolves. In an original take on a classic story, The Rose Theater will transform into the jungles of India in their upcoming production of The Jungle Book. You can meet them on the mezzanine level right outside the entrance to our balcony level seats. Some performers will be available after the show to say hello, pose in pictures, and sign their autographs for you. The actors may even have a question or two for you about the story. It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the scenery, costumes, special effects, and other aspects of the production. Free parking is available in the Wells Fargo parking lot on the northwest corner of 20th and Farnam streets on weekends and after 5:30 p.m. Metered parking is free on Sundays and holidays. The cost is $0.25 per hour or $10 per day. The Rose is surrounded by several metered parking spots, active from 9 a.m. Tickets that have not been claimed five minutes prior to the the show may be released or sold. Lobby doors will open 45 minutes prior to the show. Show tickets are available at Will Call, if not picked up earlier. Before moving to Omaha, she lived in NYC where she worked with Liz Swados, Lee Bruer’s Mabou Mines, Taylor Mac and The Jim Henson Company. Stephanie has her MFA in Acting from the University of Iowa, is a certified Yoga instructor, participated in the Diavolo Project: Nebraska, and is a trained puppeteer specializing in shadow puppetry and Bunraku. She appeared on stage as the Mother in Pinkalicious, and Arrietty in The Borrowers, Frog in A Year With Frog and Toad, Gina in Big Nate, Irma Cody in Buffalo Bill’s Cowboy Band, Nancy in Ivy & Bean, and Ida in Honk. She will be writing and directing a TVY adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s Thumbelina this January. She previously directed George and Martha, Charlotte’s Web and The Rose’s world premiere of The Grocer’s Goblin and The Little Mermaid as well as The Misfits and A Child’s Garden of Verses.
